Inter-Lazio Betting Preview: Dodgy defence to cost the Biancocelesti yet again

Edy Reja's men have made a habit of surrendering leads in recent weeks - expect them to suffer the same fate against a Nerazzurri side chasing Europe
Inter will be hoping to get their European bid back on track when they welcome Lazio to San Siro on Saturday.

Despite defeat to AC Milan, the Nerazzurri currently sit two points clear of Torino in the final Europa League spot with two games remaining and are 4/5 (1.80) favourites with Paddy Power to strengthen their grip with victory here.

With four points separating themselves from their hosts, Edy Reja's men are available at 3/1 (4.00) keep their slim hopes of a top-five finish alive with all three points.

Walter Mazzarri's team have drawn each of their last three games in front of their own fans, and you can get odds of 13/5 (3.60) on them dropping a further two points this time out.

The visitors' own chances of sealing a place in European competition would be far greater had they displayed the same prowess in defence as they have demonstrated up front recently.

Despite scoring 10 goals in their last four games, the Biancocelesti have secured just one win in that period after conceding 10 at the other end to scupper all of their good work.

To make matters even more frustrating, the Romans have frequently got their noses in front only to surrender promising leads, having led twice in both 3-3 draws against Torino and Verona recently.

With this in mind, odds of 13/10 (2.30) seem extremely generous on Reja's men opening the scoring within the first 45 minutes, as they have done in each of their last six consecutive games.

However, given their unfortunate inability to capitalise on leads, it is well worth backing the guests to fail to collect maximum points after going ahead, at odds of 2/1 (3.00).

That bet would have paid out in three of Lazio's previous four games, as well as two of their last three away games against Inter.

Lazio to open the scoring in the 1st half for a 1.5pt stake at 13/10 (2.30) with Paddy Power
Lazio to score 1st and fail to win for a 1pt stake at 2/1 (3.00) with Paddy Power
