Southampton Football Club have agreed a deal with Garmin, which will see the company become the club’s official navigation partner and official fitness device partner.
The deal was announced on Friday, on the eve of the new Premier League season. Southampton, who have seen a number of players leave over the summer, begin the new season away to Liverpool on Sunday.
“We are excited to be working with such a dynamic and progressive organisation as Garmin,” said Southampton’s chief executive Gareth Rogers.
“Based in the same city but both recognised the world over, our shared values around innovation, performance and integrity offer the perfect foundation for a partnership.”
Garmin’s UK general manager Dawn Ramsey added: “By teaming up with Southampton, we hope to inspire football fans to see the benefits of a healthy, active way of life as well as enjoying the beautiful game.”
