German soccer club VfB Stuttgart have renewed sponsorship deals with Würth and Fanuc.
Both sponsors have extended their contracts with the club until the end of the 2015/16 Bundesliga season, with both set to move up to the second-tier ‘exclusive partner’ category.
Fastenings wholesaler Würth will be granted a package of rights which includes a branding presence on cam-carpets and LED boards at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, as well as its own Würth Soccer Lounge hospitality area.
Fanuc Germany, a subsidiary of Japanese factory automation provider Fanuc, will have a similar, smaller package of rights.
Germany’s Sponsors.de suggests that both deals will be worth seven-figure sums, with the Würth deal having a possible value of €1.5 million.
VfB Stuttgart finished 15th in the Bundesliga in 2013/14, just outside the relegation zone.
