The French Football Federation (FFF) has agreed a four-year partnership with Archos.
The consumer electronics brand will become an official supplier to French soccer’s governing body and the national side. It will digitise team sheets and match details for all 18,000 clubs across all levels of French soccer, with details available to Archos users, and aims to sell at least one tablet to each club.
Archos will also supply its devices to FFF coaches and receive a range of promotional rights.
The financial terms of the deal, which comes into effect in January 2015, were not released but according to French business publication Les Echos, FFF suppliers typically commit around €500,000 (US$675,000).
FFF president Noël Le Graët said the partnership would help the organisation “switch on to the digital age by modernising its equipment and offering its leagues, districts and clubs an increasingly effective service.”
