Scottish soccer outfit Ayr United have renewed their front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with online gaming brand Bodog.
The brand, which also serves as Premier League side Arsenal’s official Asian betting partner, will continue to serve as Ayr’s main sponsor for a fourth year. Financial terms were not announced.
Whilst celebrating his birthday in Antigua, Bodog founder Calvin Ayre said merrily: “It’s not easy being an Ayr United fan but, equally, it’s never boring and there’s nothing worse than boring. It could be the Hendricks [gin] talking, but I feel a big year ahead for The Honest Men. As they say on the West Coast: ‘Mon Super Ayr!’”
Ayr United finished fourth in the Scottish League One table, missing out on promotion after losing 5-2 on aggregate to Cowdenbeath in the play-offs in May.
