Energy company EDF has signed a long-term extension to its partnership with the French Football Federation (FFF).

The French firm will continue to support all levels of soccer in France until July 2018 after the two parties put pen to paper on a new four-year agreement, which kicks in immediately after the upcoming Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

France’s senior men’s and women’s sides and youth national teams are all covered under the deal, while EDF will also become a major partner of the Coupe de France domestic club knockout competition and all amateur soccer overseen by the FFF.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

EDF joins the likes of Nike, Credit Agricole, GDF Suez, PMU, Volkswagen and Belin in supporting the French men’s national team, who begin their 2014 Fifa World Cup campaign against Honduras in Porto Alegre on 15th June.
