Austrian betting firm Tipp3 has extended its agreement with Austria’s national soccer federation, despite its decision to withdraw from its role as title sponsor of the country’s top league at the end of this season.

Its new agreement with the Österreichische Fußball-Bundwill (OFB) focuses on Austria’s national team and their attempt to qualify for the newly-expanded European Championship, which will feature 24 teams for the first time in 2016.

Austria’s national team manager Marcel Koller, who has already appeared in television advertising for Tipp3, will be more prominent in the bookmakers’ marketing activities, according to a report by Sponsors.de.

Tipp3 signed a three-year deal to title sponsor the Austrian Bundesliga in August 2010 but will not continue beyond the end of the 2013/14 season.

The company is Austria’s leading betting firm, with around 4,000 outlets in the country and a thriving online operation.

No financial details were immediately available.
