Borussia Dortmund has extended its sponsorship deal with tyre manufacturer Hankook until 2015.
The Korean company has backed the 1.Bundesliga giant since 2009 and will continue to serve as a champion partner – Dortmund’s top sponsorship tier below that of main partners Evonik Industries, Signal Iduna and Puma. “Hankook embodies with its quality products exactly what BVB also stands for – sportiness, reliability, emotion and success,” said Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Hyun Jun Cho, managing director of Hankook in German-speaking markets, added: “Continuous presence in professional sports is an important part of our brand communication. Therefore, we continue to support the BVB as one of the top sponsors for the next two Bundesliga seasons. Borussia Dortmund for years has been a real crowd puller and likeable.”
Hankook’s fellow champion partners include Opel, Turkish Airlines, Brinkhoff’s, Sprehe Feinkost, Sparda-Bank, Wilo, Flyeralarm, West Lotto and Huawei.
