Serie B, the second tier of Italian football, has strengthened its commercial portfolio by signing up telecommunications company New Generation Mobile (NGM) as a sponsor.

Serie B, the second tier of Italian football, has strengthened its commercial portfolio by signing up telecommunications company New Generation Mobile (NGM) as a sponsor.

NGM has penned a deal to serve as a top-tier sponsor of Serie B for the duration of the 2013-14 season. Under the terms of the agreement, the company’s logo will appear on the back of the team shirts of all 22 Serie B clubs throughout the course of the season.

The partnership marks the second such deal struck by Serie B in a matter of days. Earlier this week the league secured a deal for betting and gambling company Eurobet to become the title sponsor of the competition for the 2013-14 season.

Like NGM, Eurobet’s logo will also feature on Serie B teams’ shirts. Eurobet’s branding will adorn the shirt sleeve of each Serie B player. The 2013-14 Serie B season will kick off this Saturday, August 24.
