Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has advised Ivan Perisic to keep his mouth shut following the winger's comments towards the media, who is facing a potential €15,000 fine.
The midfielder had complained on Croatian channel Nora-TV about the lack of support from Klopp, and Perisic also accused him of favouring certain players.
"A professional footballer is unhappy when he is not playing," the 45-year-old tactician explained to reporters.
"If he then keeps his mouth shut, it is better for him at the end," he blasted. "Complaining in public is childish."
According to reporters, the Croatia international is now allegedly facing a €15k fine for his comments.
Sporting director Michael Zorc refused to comment on the matter, stressing to Bild that "everything has been said" and instead focussed on this weekend's fixture against the Bavarian team.
"We acknowledged that Furth scored more points on the road than at home. Despite that, we still have to win to keep challenging for a top spot," Zorc continued.
Dortmund face Furth at Westfalenstadion on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled at 15.30 CET.
