The reigning German champions have not had the best of starts in their bid to retain their domestic crown as they sit in fifth place in the Bundesliga - 11 points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
However, after some encouraging results, most notably in their double-header with Real Madrid in the Champions League - where they claimed four from a possible six points - Klopp says his team are displaying signs of improvement.
"I think my team has shown they are in good form," he told a press conference.
"Augsburg will be a hard opponent. Though some people may just look at the table and say this game will be easy going, it won't. We will have respect for them.
"We know Augsburg and we watched their game against Hamburg. It was impressive and those games can happen if your not concentrating and remaining focused.
"We want to keep winning. Against Stuttgart we lost points but we should get three here. We are aware of Augsburg but basically we want to win that's it."
