The re-emerging French powerhouse have recently been credited with an interest in the former Real Madrid and Manchester United man, who is set to leave LA Galaxy at the end of the MLS season.
And when quizzed about whether the midfielder would pitch up at Stade Louis II at some point during the January transfer window, the Italian coach was enthusiastic about the prospect.
"About Beckham, I read and heard the same thing as you in the media," Ranieri told reporters.
Monaco were bought out by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev last summer following the side's relegation from Ligue 1 in 2011, but he has invested heavily, bringing in the likes of Ranieri and Argentine wonderkid Lucas Ocampos.
