The LA Galaxy striker will face Faroe Islands on Tuesday night after missing the 6-1 defeat to Germany, but the man who scored against die Nationalelf has a concussion
The LA Galaxy striker has been struggling with an Achilles injury and sat out Friday night's 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Germany.
However, the 32-year-old trained on Sunday without any problems and is set to stay with Giovanni Trapattoni's squad as they look to get their qualifying campaign back on course.
However, fellow striker Andy Keogh has been left out after suffering a concussion following a collision in training.
The Millwall frontman, who netted Ireland's consolation goal at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, will not travel with the squad and is set to return to his club.
