K’Ogalo secretary reveals to Goal that Rama Salim and David Owino missed training on Thursday with the duo being linked with a move outside club

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia are sweating over the absence of key players Rama Salim and David ‘Calabar’ Owino even as reports of their intended move continued to dominate social media.

The two players are yet to report for training as the team resumed sessions at City Stadium on Thursday.

Salim, who is linked with a move to South Africa, has not renewed his contract which expires on July 3 while influential defender “Calabar’ has one year remaining on his contract.

Gor Mahia Secretary General Chris Omondi has revealed to Goal that they do not know whereabouts of the duo. “We resumed training on Thursday and expected everyone to be here. We are still finding out where they are because we cannot trace them.”

Contacted (Rama) Salim said he is in Mombasa to sort out some personal issues and is expected back on Monday. “I am in Mombasa at the moment and should come back on Monday.”

Salim however, denied that he is leaving insisting he is still at Gor Mahia even though he has received an invitation letter to attend trials in South Africa.

Rivals AFC Leopards’ are reportedly chasing for Owino’s services after successful managing to capture Timonah Wanyonyi as exclusively revealed by Goal on Thursday.
