Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have resigned former midfielder Collins ‘Gattuso’ Okoth.
The player, who has had problems with indiscipline, has penned a one year deal at the Kenyan Premier League champions.
Gor Mahia Secretary General Chris Omondi has confirmed to Goal the signing by explaining that the player is expected to boost their midfield.
“Okoth is one of the best midfielders in the country and we expect him to held us here because we are having problems. His experience will come in handy as we move ahead."
As a free agent, Okoth did not cost Gor Mahia anything and the official admitted that this was also made it easier to get the player. Okoth has turned out for a number of local clubs but has always been dropped or left out due to disciplinary issues.
His last club in KPL was Tusker where he quit at the beginning of the season. He has also played at Gor Mahia before, Sofapaka and Mathare United. Gor Mahia have also announced the signing of Timothy Otieno from Talanta Academy on a six month loan move.
