Ingwe official Patrick Ngaira reveals to Goal they have tabled bids to sign Dan Sserunkuma and Rama Salim from rivals Gor Mahia ahead of second leg

AFC Leopards’ are planning a sensational bid to lure Gor Mahia duo of Dan Sserunkuma and Rama Salim to the den ahead of second leg of Kenyan Premier League.

The two have been an integral part of Gor Mahia’s success in the last two seasons and Ingwe are looking to lure them to cross the success over to the den. Rama’s six month contract at Gor Mahia has expired while Sserunkuma still has six months to run in his current contract with K’Ogalo.

“We are talking to both players’ to see whether they can come. We are looking for a player to fill gap left by Allan Wanga and we think Sserunkuma is a good bet. Rama is also a very good player and his coordination with Sserunkuma can be key for us,” AFC Leopards vice chairman Patrick Ngaira intimated to Goal.

It will be interesting to watch the unfolding events between the two sides especially with just over a day to go before ‘Mashemeji derby’.

Ngaira says they are also engaging Humphrey Mieno, who has terminated his contract with Sofapaka as well as Bandari’s Victor Majid to fill up Peter Opiyo’s gap with the later having left for Finland earlier on in the year.

“We have been having a gap in midfield since ‘Pinchez’ left and we would like to fill it in with a creative mind. Mieno is one of the targets as well as Bandari’s Victor Majid.”
