Kenya Premier League side Tusker FC are on the verge of signing former Mathare United midfielder Kevin Kimani.
The player has been training with Tusker since last month and it is believed coach Francis Kimanzi is keen to rope him into his squad for next season.
The player has been unsettled since being named Kenyan Premier League player of the year in 2011. He tried to turn professional in Belgium but failed to settle down forcing him to move to Greece where he also did not make it.
According to Tusker director Charles Obiny, who spoke to Goal on Friday, the final decision on whether to sign Kimani will be known on Saturday when they submit their list of players to KPL.
“Kimani asked to be allowed to train with Tusker and was given permission but whether he will be signed or not will be clear on Saturday when we submit our final list to the premier body.”
