Sofapaka chairman Kalekwa has told Goal they expect first installment before the end of the week and the second one in January next year
Former Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka sold one of their top strikers Obadiah Tarumbwa to Pretoria University for a fee of $130,000 (Sh11, 050000).
However, the club will be paid the whole amount in three installments of $50,000 (Sh4,350, 000), $50,000 (Sh4,350, 000) and $30,000 (Sh2, 610, 000).
Sofapaka chairman Elly Kalekwa has told Goal they expect to receive the first installment before the end of the week and the second one in January next year.
“The last installment will come in June next year and we are also entitled to ten percent of whatever amount the club gets if they sell him elsewhere,” said Kalekwa.
He said they are happy with the deal which has enabled them make a tidy profit from what they bought the Zimbabwean with.
"By all accounts it was a good deal for us and we are happy because we made a tidy profit on the sale. His club is also happy and we are confident he will do well in future," added Kalekwa.
Tarumbwa signed for Sofapaka at the beginning of this season but left just after six months.
