Odulla, who skippered Bandari to a great performance in the first leg of the league, will now play alongside former Tusker FC midfielder Jerry Santos
Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC have officially relinquished the services of midfielder Chrispin Odula, who has quit to join Tanzanian league side Coastal Union.
Odula, who skippered Bandari to a great performance in the first leg of the local league, will now play alongside former Tusker FC midfielder Jerry Santos, who is the Coastal Union skipper.
Bandari FC Coach Twahir Muhiddin says though they will miss the services of Odulla, he is confident that they can seal the gap left. Odula’s last match for Bandari was the 0-1 defeat to Gor Mahia two weeks ago.
“In June we signed a very experienced midfielder in Maurice Odipo and though we will feel the absence of Odula, we are going to have a very able replacement. We are happy for him in developing his career and we wish him all the best," Muhiddin told Goal.
At the same time, the former Harambee Stars tactician believes that his team will rise up after failing to win in the last two matches.
“We have ourselves to blame because I believe we should have registered victories or in the least picked a point especially against Gor Mahia.
“We had a clear goal disallowed but all the same we cannot dwell on the past. We are focusing on our next match and we should bounce back to winning ways.”
Bandari will be travelling to Nairobi for their next match against Sofapaka on Saturday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
