AFC Leopards have completed the signing of Administration Police striker Michael Khamati but missed out on Ugandan winger Dan Wagaluka.
Belgian coach Luc Eymael has revealed to Goal that he his very disappointed the transfer of Wagaluka did not go through.
“We have failed in our bid to sign Wagaluka. I am told that his (Wagaluka) papers are not in order and we were also short of money to complete the deal.
“In regards to Khamati, everything was completed on Thursday and he should be available for selection during our league fixture next weekend. He will not be ready for Thika United on Monday.”
Eymael added, “Our transfer campaign is now finished…Peter Opiyo, Abdallah Juma, Saddick and Michael Khamati. I am very disappointed because the club has failed to give me the players I wanted signed.
“Remember I had already released seven players and I have managed to sign four. We will only have a squad of 24 players plus three goalkeepers…they (Executive Committee) promised a lot of things but they are very far of their promises.”
On Wednesday, Eymael hit out at AFC Leopards’ top brass of dilly dallying in signing Wagaluka and Khamati. The coach also revealed that Opiyo and Juma are in line to start the team's mid-week clash against Thika United.
