The power men have moved to strengthen their squad by acquiring four youngsters from Kakamega High and experienced Justine Monda from Tusker
Kakamega-based side Western Stima has brought in five new players for the second leg after dropping two.
Former Gor Mahia winger Dan Makori has been axed as well as defender Hesbon Oguta.
The power men have in turn strengthened the squad with the acquisition of five players – four from high school while experienced Justine Monda will rejoin the team again after a failed move to league defending champions Tusker FC.
The four signed from Kakamega High School include goalkeeper Timothy Otieno, defender Akumu Vitalis and midfielders Kepha Otieno and Ntinda Michael.
“Monda will be an important part of this team and we are happy to get him. For the young boys, it is part of our strategy to ensure that we create our own players so that we do not struggle to go looking for players from outside,” Western Stima assistant Coach Nyabinge Hesbon told Goal.
Francis Baraza, the head coach of the club is currently in Glasgow, Scotland where he is attending a three week Uefa C coaching course and will be back on June 29.
