Barton wants to see Beckham at Paris Saint-Germain
The former England captain looks set to complete a deadline-day switch to the Ligue 1 giants and the former QPR man is looking forward to facing the 37-year-old
Joey Barton is hoping David Beckham completes a move to Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day.The former England captain has travelled to the French capital ahead of sealing a move to Carlo Ancelotti's side, where he will contribute to the club's pushes in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
Barton is looking forward to going toe-to-toe with the former England captain, but believes he trumps him in the looks department, if nowhere else.
He tweeted: "Really hope Beckham goes to PSG. Double header against them in French Cup and League back end of Feb at their place.
"He'll be great for French Football. Although, he'll remain 2nd best looking, Englishman in France. That'll hurt his confidence!"
Beckham has been without a club since leaving LA Galaxy last year, after winning the MLS Cup with the California-based club.
He confirmed earlier on Thursday that he was travelling to France ahead of the deal: "On way to Paris, excited. I will update you all later."
