Kenyan international and former Gor Mahia midfielder Kevin ‘Master’ Ochieng has joined Mathare United penning a one year deal just a day before the transfer window closes.

Mathare’s coach Stanley Okumbi revealed to Goal.com that he has acquired the services of the experienced midfielder ahead of season kick off.

"Kevin (Ochieng') is our player. He has agreed a one year deal, and his experience will prove key in guiding and helping the youngsters."

Ochieng' now joins another veteran, former Sofapaka defender Edgar ‘Fighter’ Ochieng who also makes a return to the club.

Prior to quitting Gor late last year as a free agent, Ochieng' had turned out for relegated side Rangers FC, where he was one of the ‘big stars’.

Other new signings at the club include David Omengo (Chemelil Sugar), Ephraim Ateng (Muhoroni Youth), Joseph Ruto (Mahakama), Francis Oduor (Bandari), Emmanuel Tostao (AFC) Harrison Mwendwa and Mohamed Noor.

Others are Fredrick Ochieng, Cornelius Mwangi, Hillary Otieno, Meschack Makoha, Elisha Ogolla, Daniel Kiptoo and Vincent Odongo.
