The French under-20 international has been touted as a potential star of the future despite only making 20 appearances for the Corsican side, leading to reported interest from Arsene Wenger.
But in a statement put out by Bastia, the club denied any such potential deal.
"Sporting Club de Bastia categorically denies the discussions with Arsenal about Florian Thauvin," it stated.
Arsenal have yet to make a signing in the January transfer window, and whilst Thauvin would not have been the big name signing that many fans are clamouring for, he could provide a forward option for the side.
