Ochieng’, who was among eight Gor Mahia players released after failing to get playing time under coach Logarusic, will sign a 2-year deal on TuesdayKenyaPremier League (KPL) side Nairobi City Stars have signed former Gor Mahia midfielder Kevin ‘Master’ Ochieng in a bid to beef up their squad.
Ochieng’, who was among eight Gor Mahia players released late last year after failing to get playing time under coach Zdravko Logarusic, is scheduled to sign a two year deal on Tuesday.
City Stars Chairman Peter Jabuya confirmed to Goal.com that Ochieng’ will add the needed experience to the side.
“We are glad to have Ochieng’ in our squad for the 2013 campaign. He is an experienced player who has played at the international level and his experience will be key to our league campaign.”
Prior to joining Gor, Ochieng’ turned out for relegated side Rangers FC where his star shone before former Gor Coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno lured him with a move to the domestic cup champions in the second leg of the 2011 season campaign.
He now joins other new signing at the Kawangware-based side that also includes George ‘Blackberry’ Odhiambo.
