Kenya and Inter Milan midfielder Macdonald Mariga has revealed interest from Italian top flight clubs.
Mariga arrived in Kenya on Sunday for a ten day rest as the Serie A campaign takes a winter break, and in an exclusive interview with Goal.com, the former Parma FC midfielder, who has just resumed competitive action after an eight month spell on the sidelines due to injury, says that his main target is to play regularly for the Nerrazuri first team.
"Obviously I am very happy and excited (to be back on the pitch). I am encouraged because big clubs keep on contacting my agent and saying that they wish to include me in their project."
"Fiorentina and Napoli (for example), I am told the doors are always open. But my main aim is to play regularly, I missed playing a lot (this past year), I now need to get regular playing time."
The lanky midfielder has managed four appearances (three from the bench) since his return from injury in November.
