The defender picked up a groin injury while away on international duty with Portugal last month, and has been out of action ever since.
But, the 24-year-old is now one step closer to making his comeback as he has resumed regular training action, putting an end to a four week spell on the sidelines.
Coentrao's imminent return to full match fitness will be a big boost for Mourinho, with fellow left-back Marcelo still unavailable due to injury.
The encounter at the Ciutat de Valencia is scheduled to kick off at 21:30CET.
