Ballesteros accuses Soldado of assault after Levante win over Valenica

The experienced defender claims that he was stamped on and kicked by the striker during Sunday's game and says that replays will prove him right
Levante's Sergio Ballesteros was far from happy after his sides's 1-0 win over local rivals Valencia , claiming that striker Roberto Soldado "assaulted" him during the game.

The two players clashed on numerous occasions during the clash and the 37-year-old defender fell to the floor twice claiming that he had been struck by the Spanish striker.

“Soldado gave me a stamp and a kick with his heel and on television it will be clear,” he said in a post-match interview.

“It is two bits of nonsense but two assaults that I have had done to me.”

The referee did not agree with Ballesteros' view on the incidents as he booked the experienced centre-half for pretending to be stamped on.
