Koops picks four nominees for Goal Kenya Player of the Year

Goal Kenya spoke to former AFC Leopards' and Nairobi City Stars coach Jan Koops about his nominees for our inaugural Player of the Year Award
Here's Jan Koop’s comments on each of the players in his short list for the prestigious award.

David Owino (Gor Mahia )- He is very technical and his sense of commitment is very impressive. He has the ability to score goals with a phenomenal work ethic. Generally, he has been superb for both country and club this year.

Allan Wanga (AFC Leopards')-Wanga has been very hard working for Ingwe and always comes back to assist the midfield and defense. He has scored some crucial goals for Leopards' this season and he is the reason they finished second in the Kenyan Premier League and also won the Gotv Shield Cup.

Anthony Teddy Akumu (Gor Mahia)- His physcial presence and strength in midfield has been impressive. His attacking prowess coupled with fitness is legendary and tremendously assists both the defense and striking force doing what a typical midfielder should be doing.

James Situma (Sofapaka)-Situma can comfortably play anywhere on the pitch. He is good on the right and left backs as well as at the heart of defense. He is very mean to opponents and gives good passes as well as score sometimes for his club. His commitment and discpline to the club has been unquestionable.

Goal Kenya will reveal the official top five nominees next Monday, December 2
