K’Ogalo official Ronald Ngala reveals to Goal that the pint-sized Ugandan striker is in line to face AFC Leopards’ on Sunday if he returns fit from trials
Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia are crossing their fingers that top striker Dan Sserunkuma will arrive back home in time for Sunday's ‘Mashemeji derby’ against rivals AFC Leopards’ at Nyayo Stadium.
K’Ogalo Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala has revealed that the Ugandan forward is expected to complete his trials on Thursday and are expecting him in Nairobi by Saturday. “His trials in Denmark were to last until July 24. We expect that he will fly back home immediately in time for the derby,” Ngala told Goal.
Coach Bobby Williamson confirmed that Sserunkuma will certainly be in his plans if he makes it home before the derby. “I will be glad to have him for the match. He is a good player, who can help us in the derby.”
Sserunkuma has scored in most of the derbies he has featured in and his presence will be a major boost for Gor Mahia, who have had to play their previous fixtures without key players.
Gor Mahia will be seeking for revenge having lost the first leg match 3-1 at the same venue.
