A top Ingwe official reveals to Goal that they have discontinued paying the troubled midfielder monthly dues until he resumes training at the den
GOtv Shield champions AFC Leopards’ have now stopped paying salary of troubled forward Timonah Wanyonyi.
The club says it will not continue paying the player until he resumes training. A top official, who did not want to be named, says the decision takes effect from end of this month.
"We cannot continue paying him while he does not train with us. The decision has been made to stop his salary until the matter is resolved. We are confident the he will be back in training soon,” the official told Goal.
Wanyonyi has not trained with Leopards’ for the last two weeks since it emerged that the club had issued him with a Sh200, 000 cheque that bounced and was part of his transfer fees.
The player has also indicated a desire to terminate his two year contract protesting at the move.
