A source within the club has revealed to Goal that defender Abdallah Juma and striker Khalid Jumaan were involved in a fight following a hard tackle
GOtv Shield Cup champions AFC Leopards’ players were involved in a training bust-up following a hard tackle incident.
A source within the club, who attended the training, has revealed to Goal that defender Abdallah Juma and striker Khalid Jumaan were involved in a fight after the former’s hard tackle looked to injure his teammate.
“Yes it is true that the two were involved in a fight. Jumaan (Khalid) was not happy at the tackle from Abdallah (Juma) and he reacted by raining blows back at him. It was an incident that caught coach James Nandwa off guard as this as never happened again in the club.
“It needed the intervention of fellow players to halt the fight as it looked to get out of hand,” added our source, who sought not to be named.
Khalid Jumaan is yet to feature prominently for Ingwe since joining the den while Juma (Abdallah) is a regular starter at left back. Efforts by Goal to reach Nandwa proved futile as our phone call went unanswered.
AFC Leopards’ are preparing for this weekend’s Kenya Premier League match against bogey side Chemelil Sugar. Ingwe registered their first victory of the season in four matches after edging out a stubborn Sony Sugar 1-0 at Nyayo Stadium on Wednesday.
