Gor Mahia defender David 'Calabar' Owino has revealed that he will leave the club next season to pursue a professional career.
Owino, who has eight months to go before his current contract runs out at Gor Mahia told Goal on Wednesday: "I am enjoying myself at K’Ogalo but just like any player in the local league desires for a change, it is no different with me. I intend to pursue a professional career next season as I seek to get to the next level.”
Owino says he wants to play in next year's African Cup of Nations final with Harambee Stars because he believes this will give him the right plat-form to get a club abroad.
"We are already thinking of being in Morocco next year with Haranbee Stars because we understand that this is the perfect opportunity for us to be seen."
Owino has in the past declined to extend his contract with Gor Mahia.
