AFC Leopards’ coach James Nandwa says its advantage Ingwe as they prepare for the return match of Caf Confederation Cup against Defence of Ethiopia away in Addis Ababa.

The GOtv Shield winners got their campaign on the right footing beating the Ethiopian outfit 2-0 with captain Martin Imbalambala and Jacob Keli finding the back of the net.

“We are not there yet but no doubt its advantage to my team. We played well and managed the crucial goals. Now we need to avoid a defeat and we are through to the next round,” Nandwa told Goal.

“In such matches you have to win at home then focus on away assignment. The early goals proved very crucial.

“Against a team with a very good ball passing rate we did well enough. That is what the players are required of at the club. The new players have settled in well but a lot in expected of them nevertheless.

“Confederations Cup get tougher after every single match, ours is to be prepared and play a game at a time.”
