The fans have spoken, let the players respond in the Kenya Power Charity Cup

Three exciting fixtures await fans of the beautiful game in Kenya this weekend, but only one of the clubs can be crowned as champion
The Kenya Power Charity Cup has given us all reason to be back in the local football excitement zone, with Kenya’s finest teams (Sofapaka, Gor AFC and Mathare) set to battle it out in three very intense matches on 2nd February 2014 at the Nyayo Stadium.

The stadium, due to its historical appeal, FIFA approved standard size football pitch and capacity of 30,000 persons, is set to attract several fans that have the option of booking seats on either of the 2 VIP lounges or the ordinary seating areas and can purchase their tickets here

The fans are keen to see the teams in their best form on Sunday with the kick off time of the first match that is between AFC Leopards and Mathare United at 9 AM. AFC plays most of its home gams at Nyayo Stadium and it might play to their advantage because their fans will mostly carry the day on such an occasion. Above all, it’s certainly a significant match, as it will set the pace and the mood for the rest of the day’s games as well as build excitement towards the new looming football season.

The second match between Gor Mahia and Sofapaka FC is scheduled for 11 AM. With a rivalry running deep, the two teams (and their fans) are known for their colourful display of loyalty during big matches and neither of them will be cowed by the other’s intimidations.

This will be a tense match depending on the winner of the first one, as it will be the determining factor of the duel that will take place at 4 PM.

In an interesting play of events, the fans will be curious to see if Sofapaka FC can retain their spot at the top as winners of the Kenya Power Charity Cup once again, and if not, who has the potential to take the coveted cup away from them and bask in the new found glory?

Don’t miss out on the action, get your tickets today and see you all on Sunday!
