...as Kenya FA refutes rumours that he has resigned with vice-chairman Robert Asembo saying ‘whatever issues he had raised had been sorted'
Kenyan coach Adel Amrouche was conspicuously missing from the bench when the team played to a barren draw against Ethiopia in Wednesday's Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup opener at Nyayo Stadium.
Assistant coach James Nandwa explained that the coach had fallen sick hours before the match but will be available when they take to the pitch next against South Sudan on Saturday.
"It is unfortunate that our coach was not able to be with us today. He fell sick before the match but we are expecting him for the next game," Nandwa told Goal.
Football Kenya Federation vice-chairman Robert Asembo was quick to dismiss reports of discontent by the coach insisting that whatever issues he had were sorted out on Tuesday night. "He had some issues but we sorted it all out on Tuesday," explained Asembo, who declined to elaborate further.
