Kenya midfielder MacDonald Mariga played for Inter-Milan's reserve team last week in a move that could mark his return to full fitness.
The player has been sidelined for the last nine months after picking an injury which required him to undergo an operation in the United States of America (USA) in June.
After undergoing surgery, it seems like the midfielder has recovered fully after being partly used in last week’s match during a 1-0 defeat to Chiasso.
Mariga came on in the last quarter of the match and impressed the coaches meaning he is geared for a full return to the senior team anytime soon.
The match was watched by a capacity crowd at the Centro Sportivo, that included the club’s new President Erick Thohir and Vice President Angelomario Morratti.
