Former Tusker and Harambee Stars defender David 'Cheche’ Ochieng made his debut for new club Al Taawoun FC after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Al Fateh in the Saudi Arabian Pro league.

The Kenyan, who was signed by the club from the brewers’, featured for the entire 90 minutes as Elton rescued a point for the home team. Abdo Hakami had scored the opener for Al Taawoun in the 45th minute.

The result leaves Al Taawoun on fifth spot while Al Nassr tops the 14-team table standings on three points. An elated ‘Cheche’ told Goal from his Saudi Arabia base that he was impressed by his first outing.

“It was a good way to start my career in Saudi Arabia and I am looking forward for better performances.”
