Gor Mahia will once again be without Ugandan striker Dan Sserunkuma when they host Muhoroni Youth at City Stadium on Saturday.

The troubled striker was expected to rejoin the club this week after being denied permission to leave for paid ranks but the club's assistant coach John 'Bobby' Ogolla has confirmed they have not seen the player this week.

"We were hoping to have him back this week but he never turned up for training. We will be glad to have him back," said Ogolla himself a legend of the club.

But Gor have learnt to live without the Ugandan striker and will have to somehow try and get a positive result on Saturday. The league leaders will also miss the services of striker Rama Salim, who quit last week for professional football in the Gulf

Gor are winless in their last two matches something that has created a lot of tension among the fans. A win on Saturday will end the building anxiety and help the club extend their lead at the top of the standings.

Muhoroni will be out to bounce back to winning ways after losing their last league match 1-0 to Bandari. A win will increase K’Ogalo’s point tally to 40, eight adrift second placed Thika United who host Sony Sugar at Thika Municipal Stadium on Sunday.

  • Gor Mahia beat Muhoroni Youth 4-0 in the last match the two sides played at City Stadium.

  • Gor Mahia will face Muhoroni Youth minus key strikers Dan Ssserunkuma (pictured) and Rama Salim.
  • Gor Mahia have not won in their last two matches after being held to a barren draw by defending champions Tusker and Nairobi City Stars.

  • Gor have been banned from playing at Nyayo Stadium and Kasarani after their fans vandalized seats at Kasarani.

  • Muhoroni are just in their second season in the league after being promoted last year.

  • Last season Muhoroni Youth played their return match against Gor Mahia at City Stadium even though it was their home fixture and the stadium is the home ground of Gor Mahia.

  • Muhoroni Youth are currently placed in 12th position on the log after playing 20 matches.
