Harambee Stars coach Adel Amrouche's target Divock Origi has renewed his contract with top French side Lille FC.
According to the club’s official website, Origi, the son of former Kenya international goalkeeper Mike Okoth, has extended his stay at the club until 2016.
Last Monday, Goal revealed that Kenya coach Adel Amrouche has made clear intentions of making a formal request to Origi to have him accept national team call up.
"I have scheduled a meeting with him and his father Mike Okoth in Belgium next week where I hope to convince him to accept a national team call-up.
“At this point in time we need his services to make the team better," Amrouche revealed to Goal.
After being bundled out of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, the team is now concentrating on making it to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals with Amrouche determined to bring in new players on board.
Origi has been reluctant to accept a national team call-up despite showing great form with Lille.
