Okoth has termed Matano as the best coach in the premiership insisting that those who are complaining against him do not want to perform on the pitch
Tusker midfielder Collins Okoth has said he is enjoying a cordial relationship with coach Robert Matano at the club despite reports of the tactician’s high handedness.
Okoth has termed Matano as the best coach in the Kenyan premiership insisting that those who are complaining against him do not want to perform on the pitch.
“Matano is a winner and always demands results on the pitch and it is only those who do not want to perform who are complaining.
“Granted permission he (Matano) always pushes the players hard but this is because he wants results and this can only be good for the team.
“Personally, I have learnt to understand him and I do my best to perform on the pitch and so we are enjoying a great relationship. He is the best coach in the premiership,” the midfielder told Goal.
Okoth further pointed out that Tusker can only win the league if the players are united in getting positive results on the pitch.
“We all must give our best and pull in the same direction if we are to retain the title.”
