Dennis Oliech's club Ajaccio survived relegation despite going down 2-0 in their last match of the season to Nice. Ajaccio finished the season in 17th position on 40 points, which was enough to assure them top flight status next season. The Kenyan captain did however, not feature in the match as he is already in Nairobi and expected to join Harambee Stars' camp for the June 14 World Cup qualifier against Malawi.
Patrick Oboya has permanently moved to Vietnamese club Than Hoa. Oboya was on loan at the club from MFK Ruzomberok of Slovakia but he made the move permanent after the two clubs made an agreement but at an undisclosed fee. The player is apparently looking for more playing time to bring to an end his long struggles made worse by injuries. He has been out of the national team for two years.
Victor Wanyama's Celtic clinched a double as the Scottish season came to an end at the weekend winning the Cup competition after clobbering Hibernian 3-0. Going into the match, Celtic had already won the Scottish Premier League (SPL) and were looking to wrap up a great season with a double. Wanyama however, did not feature in the Cup final staying out after being sent off in the semi-final.
Arnold Origi's club Lillestrom thumped Haugesund 3-0 in a Norwegian top division match on Sunday. The Kenyan international did not feature in the match which allowed his side to pick just their first win in six matches. Goals from Bjorn Riise, Fredrick Gulbrandsen and Erling Knudzston lifted Lillestrom to victory.
