Ulinzi Stars will be representing the country for the second time in the World Military championship set for Azerbaijan from July 2.
According to the club's official website, the draw for the tournament has been released and the soldiers have been pooled against defending champions Algeria, Bahrain and France.
“This is a tough group but we believe we can do better than last year in Brazil and at least qualify for the quarter finals,” Chairman Lt. Col JS Mwinyikai told the club’s website.
Ulinzi participated for the first time ever in the World Military Football games last year in Brazil but could not make it past the group stages.
They will be hoping for a better show this time round. They qualified for the World showpiece after coming out fourth in the African Military Championships (CAMFOOT) that were played in Ivory Coast last year in December.
