Former Gor Mahia FC team manager Tom Ogweno has joined Tusker FC’s technical bench.
The former Kenyan international, was spotted on Tusker’s bench on Saturday when the champions played against AFC Leopards in a league match played at City Stadium.
Ogweno was sent packing by Gor Mahia at the beginning of last season after differences with Croat coach Zdravko Logarusic and he has now gotten a new home in the form of the Ruaraka-based side.
In his tenure at Tusker, Ogweno will not only help in training the team but also assisting team Manager Willis Waliaula.
“He is a great ex-footballer with vast experience and that is why we decided to have him on board. He started his work last week but we are yet to formally engage him in a contract."
"We are currently working on that but we are very happy that he has joined us,” Tusker’s Director Charles Obiny told Goal.com.
Obiny has also expressed confidence that the team will start getting good results soon, pointing out that they are doing their best to ensure they retain the league title.
“We are not scoring goals now but I believe the technical bench is working on that. We have four games at hand and if we can use them well, we will be back on top. I am confident things will start working out soon."
