Before the dust can settle on their first league win against Tusker, Sony Sugar FC coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo is immediately getting into is tactical books to draw out a plan of taking down Gor Mahia this weekend.
‘Pamzo’ had endured a tough first eight matches with the sugar millers where they had not won a single match prior to their 1-0 win over the defending champions at Awendo Green Stadium last Sunday.
Sony will be facing Gor Mahia this weekend in their ninth match of the league and ‘Pamzo’ expects a tough duel at the City Stadium.
“Gor Mahia is one of the hardest teams in the league and playing against them is very tough because you never know what to expect from them.”
“They are a team that has been together for long and they have built in some good chemistry together. It will be a very tough match and I am preparing well for it,” ‘Pamzo’ told Goal.com.
The ex-international says the win against the brewers was a huge boost to his team and has challenged his players to keep the consistency.
“It is now up to the players to be consistent in terms of results as well as individual performance. The win against Tusker was a huge relief for us because it now gives us morale moving forward and we aim at bettering that performance.”
