Gor Mahia will once again miss the services of some key players due to injury when they take on Kenyan Premier League leaders KCB at City Stadium on Sunday.
The match has been moved to the new venue after the management of the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani declined to host Gor citing fears over insecurity.
Gor Mahia coach Zrdavko Logarusic admits he has been impressed with KCB’s performance so far this term and retaliates that his charges will have to be at their best to collect maximum points.
“It is a good achievement if after seven games you have not lost a single game and you also have conceded only one goal. This shows they are well prepared for the league and the coach is doing a good job. My team should take them very seriously,” Logarusic told Goal.com.
Gor go into the fixture without internationals David Owino, Edwin Lavatsa and Paul Kiongera who are yet to recover from long term injuries.
However, K’Ogalo has learnt to play well even without such key players and are expected to give the bankers perhaps their first real test in the league.
Since the league started, KCB have enjoyed top form and have always been at the top of the standings and together with champions Tusker are the only un-beaten sides.
This is something that should motivate them against Gor Mahia, who will be backed by their faithful fans.
