Goal.com Kenya has hit the 20,000 mark on its official www.facebook.com/goalcomkenya page. The impressive feat has been achieved just seven months after it was established.
The online Facebook community has been growing steadily in the last seven months at an average that has amazed the editors of the football site.
Since its inception in August 2013, the website has run exclusive news and interviews with top Kenyan footballers like Victor Wanyama, Macdonald Mariga and Dennis Oliech as well as breaking local transfer news in real time.
Our latest exclusive interview with newly appointed AFC Leopards Belgian coach Luc Eymael attests to the same. Our unique editorial contents stand tall from others, and we have proven to be the first point of call when it comes to authenticating local and international news.
Our growth has shown the intense nature by which Kenyan football fans want to keep up with breaking news about their favourite players and clubs from all around the world, something that the site offers to them.
The growth of the site’s Facebook page has also confirmed it to be the fastest growing football community on the web.
“Our appreciation goes to our fans who have been with us from the beginning to now,” Goal.com Kenya’s Chief Editor Dennis Mabuka said. “We are extremely happy to have come this far and the game is just about to start.”
“It’s been fun interacting with fans on our Facebook page and the one-on-one communication has brought us closer to our fans, who have been useful in suggesting content that will serve them better."
"We’ll be rolling out some mind boggling concepts in the coming days so our readers should just stay glued,” Mabuka added.
Our appreciation goes to our numerous fans and would-be fans around the world. Like our Facebook page and be part of the most exciting interactive network.
