The ex-Harambee Stars tactician cautions his players against being carried away despite registering huge victory over Sony Sugar in the premiership on Sunday
Bandari coach Twahir Muhiddin has warned his players against being carried away by the 3-0 win registered against Sony Sugar on Saturday.
Muhiddin insists that the real test for his side, who currently lie fourth in the premiership standings, will come once they face the big guns.
“So far we cannot begin to judge ourselves and put any expectations on the team. The real test is yet to come. Once we play the big guns, Tusker, AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia then we can begin to gauge where we really are and then put in perspective of our expectations for the season,” he told Goal.com.
The team takes on Tusker on Saturday at Nyayo Stadium. This will be Bandari’s third match away from home. The ex-Harambee Stars tactician said winning at home on Saturday was a major boost for the newly promoted side.
“It was an important win for us considering it was the first one at home. I have always told my players that they are good enough and this win is big confirmation of that. Their self-belief has just gone a bit higher and from now on they can only do better.”
