Kenyans have reason to smile after national broadcaster KBC confirmed they will televise live the eagerly awaited Harambee Stars versus Nigeria World Cup qualifying match on Saturday.

This agreement was arrived after the intervention by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information Bitange Ndemo after a passionate appeal lodged by Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Sam Nyamweya.

The national broadcaster will get a feed from French based Sportfive the rights holders at a reduced fee.

"We are extremely grateful to the PS and Waithaka Waihenya, MD KBC, for their kind gesture and taking into consideration the interests of the Kenyan fans," said Nyamweya.

'Kenya FA will continue to partner with KBC during all the Caf/Fifa matches since the national broadcaster has the largest reach countrywide." The match will kick-off at 4.00 pm West Africa time 6.00pm Kenyan time.
