AFC Leopards to miss Martin Imbalambala and Patilla Omotto for weekend assignment

According to Coach Tom Olaba who spoke to Goal.com, Imbalambala and Omotto picked injuries during last weekend's defeat to Karuturi and will not be available

Under pressure AFC Leopards Coach Tom Olaba has been dealt a major blow with two of his key players set to miss their weekend assignment against Western Stima at Nyayo Stadium.

The two - skipper Martin Imbalambala and Patilla Omotto - picked up injuries during the team's 3-2 defeat to Karuturi Sports in Naivasha last weekend.

According to Coach Tom Olaba who spoke to Goal.com, Imbalambala might resume training next week while Omotto will have two more weeks on the recovery lane.

“As much as they are important players in the team, we have 27 other players whom I equally trust. All of them are quality players who can do duty perfectly when called upon."

The tactician has also exuded confidence the team will earn their first win of the season against Western Stima on Sunday.

“We have been undergoing a tough phase but our sunshine is coming. I trust that this weekend we will win. We have had a very good training week and the players are focused."

"Despite the fact that there is a lot of pressure on them to perform, I have tried my level best to ensure they are in the correct state of mind ahead of that match."

AFC Leopards are yet to win a single match this season drawing against sugar sides Chemelil and Sony before succumbing 2-3 to Karuturi Sports in their third match.
